Meet Christopher Baloga, DO

Originally from the Wyoming Valley Pennsylvania, Christopher Baloga, DO earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology summa cum laude from Wilkes University, and his medical doctorate from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine graduating with honors. Dr. Baloga continued his medical training with an internship at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, The Wright Center Kingston, and Nesbitt Memorial Hospital Kingston Pennsylvania. He completed an ophthalmology residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine mentoring under leading ophthalmic surgeons at Wills Eye Hospital, and  simultaneously was the neuro-ophthalmology research fellow at Wills Eye Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University EyeBrain Center. His research involved the study of neurodegenerative diseases and their effects on vision in Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, multiple sclerosis, Leber Hereditary Optic Neuropathy, ALS, and posterior cortical atrophy. He is honored to join Conestoga Eye, specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology while completing an oculoplastics fellowship with Dr. David Silbert.
